Series 2 of the Kinetic Collection is dedicated to the first four decades of the Formula 1 World Championship.

By the end of the ’60s the use of wings to generate downforce had begun to alter the appearance of Formula 1 cars. The 1970s would be a decade of experimentation, with designers and engineers constantly seeking an aerodynamic advantage.

For the 1975 season tall air boxes dominated the grid, creating the distinctive silhouette of the mid-’70s F1 car. Ferrari dominated, taking the title with the distinctive 312T. The following year ‘snorkels’ were banned.
