The De Rijke & Co. Amalfi was conceived as a driver’s watch. Its two piece case can be rotated through 90 degrees to ensure the dial always faces the wearer as they operate the controls.
Available in three new vibrant designs, my ongoing collaboration with Laurens De Rijke takes his signature Amalfi timepiece to heightened levels of durability with the introduction of a fully ceramic case. Champlevé enamel dials and engraved case backs depict vehicles that are synonymous with rallying and off-road adventure across three evocative locations - Sahara, Turini and Amazon.
Exquisite Dutch craftsmanship.
From his atelier outside Rotterdam Laurens De Rijke designs, manufactures and assembles his mechanical timepieces in strictly limited numbers. The meticulous production process involves the use of traditional machines and techniques, along with many hours of finishing by hand.
The watches feature champlevé enamel dials and engraved case backs. The sold silver dials are 3D etched. Grand feu enamel is then applied by hand and fired at high temperature, a highly skilled process that is undertaken by an experienced craftsman in the UK.
The lengthy process of hand finishing and assembly is then carried out at the De Rijke atelier.
